DESCRIPTION:In July 1545\, King Henry VIII’s Flag ship\, the Mary Rose\, sank during a battle near Portsmouth\, England. In the hold was a cache of instruments. The ship was raised in 1988\, and some 19\,000 artifacts were recovered\, including two Renaissance fiddles. Join us for a program of Tudor music played on faithful reproductions of these. \nThis concert will be held on the 2nd floor of the Historic House.
