Explore 55-acres of Historic Locust Grove through demonstrations, activities, tours
Event Details

Summer is here, school is out, and the kids’ screentime has them dazed and maybe even confused. You need something for them that’s affordable, engaging, and most of all, FUN.
But don’t worry, we have good news! Louisville’s Fund for the Arts presents the Summer Cultural Pass Program, which allows families FREE access to over 50 venues dedicated to art, music, theatre, culture, science, and history!
Every Monday in June and July from 10 AM to 2 PM, Locust Grove will offer activities and programs for adults and children alike. We’ll have storytelling, guided tours, musical performances, hikes around the farm and into the woods, cooking demonstrations, and if the kids can crank it fast enough – homemade ice cream! We’ll play lawn games and even cool off with the sprinkler on summer’s hottest days. And throughout it all, we’ll weave in stories that span 250 years of Locust Grove’s history.

Cultural Pass is facilitated by the Fund for the Arts and a steering committee comprising Louisville Metro Government, representatives from all participating libraries, the Arts and Cultural Alliance, the Kentuckiana Cultural Consortium, and community members.
