Emilie Strong Smith Chamber Music: Tudor Music from the Bottom of the Sea

Event Details

In July 1545, King Henry VIII’s Flag ship, the Mary Rose, sank during a battle near Portsmouth, England. In the hold was a cache of instruments. The ship was raised in 1988, and some 19,000 artifacts were recovered, including two Renaissance fiddles. Join us for a program of Tudor music played on faithful reproductions of these.

This concert will be held on the 2nd floor of the Historic House. Please keep in mind that there are stairs to reach the concert.
