Louisville Academy of Music: Student and Teacher Showcase

Event Details

Join us for the final installment of the 2026 Emilie Strong Smith Chamber Music Series. All year long, we’ve commemorated the 250th anniversary of American independence by showcasing the “Music of the Americas”. Hear an afternoon recital hosted by LAM Radio Hour host Colleen Mahoney, performing works by Florence Price, Ruth Crawford Seeger, and Jessie Montgomery with her string quartet.

This installment is a student and teacher showcase featuring talented musicians from the Louisville Academy of Music. The performance is taking place inside the Audubon Room at Locust Grove on Sunday, November 8th, beginning at 3 PM. Tickets are $20 for Locust Grove members and $25 for non-members.
