“Tear Down These Walls”: The Experiment That Became Louisville Public Media
Afternoon Lecture Series
Event Details
What began as a 10-watt FM station in the basement of our public library is now Louisville Public Media, one of the nation’s leading public radio organizations, known for its multiple platforms, investigative journalism, and commitment to culture. Join us as Locust Grove President & CEO Jessica Dawkins shares how this unique experiment in community service sprang from the history of Louisville, visionary leaders who embraced the idea of change, and the people who believed in the power of public radio.
This lecture is presented as part of our Afternoon Lecture Series, on the first Wednesday of each month, and takes place on Wednesday, November 4. Doors open at 12:30 PM for drinks and refreshments, and the lecture will begin at 1 PM.
Tickets are $8 for Locust Grove members and $10 for non-members.
