Come to Locust Grove to hear Craig Fehrman, author of This Vast Enterprise: A New History of Lewis & Clark, a major revisionist history of the Lewis and Clark expedition. For the first time in a generation, This Vast Enterprise offers a fresh and more accurate account of one of the most important episodes in American history, humanizing forgotten figures and shattering long-held myths.
Craig Fehrman, a journalist and historian, spent five years writing and researching This Vast Enterprise. His first book, Author in Chief, was described by Thomas Mallon in The Wall Street Journal as “one of the best books on the American presidency to appear in recent years.” Fehrman lives in Indiana with his wife and children.
This lecture is presented as part of our Afternoon Lecture Series, on the first Wednesday of each month, and takes place on Wednesday, October 7. Doors open at 12:30 PM for drinks and refreshments, and the lecture will begin at 1 PM.
Tickets are $8 for Locust Grove members and $10 for non-members.
