Join local artist Jamila Young for a hands-on workshop exploring the beauty of flowers through artistic expression. In this two-hour session, you’ll learn to create stunning floral impressions using natural materials and creative techniques inspired by the garden around you.

Whether you’re an experienced artist or just looking to try something new, this workshop is a relaxing and inspiring way to connect with nature and your creativity.

This workshop will take place in the Locust Grove garden. In the case of bad weather, the workshop will be in the Audubon Room inside the Locust Grove Visitors’ Center.

Jamila Young is the founder of JamilaWorks, a floral company specializing in floral preservation art. JamilaWorks focuses on creating keepsake memorials through various wearable & displayable preservation pieces. Its mission is to produce timeless, functional, and unique art. In the workshop, you’ll create a botanical print using fresh flowers and leaves to press, arrange, and transfer natural textures onto paper so you can take home your own floral masterpiece!
