Visitors’ Center

The foundation for the Visitors’ Center was laid in 1979, and was an expansion of the caretakers’ cabin that was moved to the property in 1963. This 1,000-sq foot addition would serve for audiovisual programs, special events, and exhibit displays.

Today, the Visitors’ Center includes the museum store, exhibit gallerys, a research library, a spacious auditorium, fully equipped catering kitchen, and staff offices.
