Celia
Celia was enslaved by William Croghan, Jr. and was left at Locust Grove when he relocated to Pittsburgh when slavery was outlawed. William Jr.’s brother-in-law George Hancock leased her to “Mr. Holt who lives on Lightfoots’ Land” on behalf of William, Jr. in 1828.
